The Artist behind the Notecard Series: A Little Wisdom from God's Creation

Arlette Revells founded Great Works Creation Company in 1987, a visual communications and marketing business. The company works with local and national clients. Arlette is also a published author and inspirational speaker. She enjoys motivating women to let their faith in God take wing and soar to the heights for which they are destined.

Arlette is excited to introduce her exclusive notecard and print series “A Little Wisdom from God’s Creation.” These inspirational notecards and prints are unique. She photographed each scene just outside the back door of her home and wrote a photo story which reveals a truth in it.

Arlette reveals, “After years of admiring the birds that ate the seeds my husband placed on our deck railing, one day I saw something more. A beautiful bluebird couple caught my attention just outside the kitchen window. They were working together to build a nest in the bluebird house on the deck. Suddenly, I saw birds caring for one another. Mates were working together to build a home. Parents were teaching their children how to feed and care for themselves. God was inspiring and teaching me through His magnificent creation! I wanted to capture the moment, so I quickly got my camera and started taking pictures. These birds were joined by finches, red birds, woodpeckers, squirrels, deer, rabbits, raccoons, and others in my collection. Each picture reflects a message of hope and a focus on the God who created the creatures.”

Arlette hopes that each message encourages you and those who receive the cards you send. The prints can be framed and hung so that they continue to encourage others every day, at home, at work, or at church.

One enthusiastic customer told her,
“It’s easy to send one of your notecards, even when I don’t know what to say. I just write: ‘When I read the story on the back of this card, I thought of you.’ Then I simply sign my name.”

Great Works Creation Company has been creating distinctive visual solutions since 1987!

I was born into a business family, so I knew the ups and downs of running a small business. My Dad, a business entrepreneur since I can remember, made starting a business less daunting. Mother was right there beside him. I’ve always said that Dad’s business would not have been as successful without Mother. So the idea of women in business was not a strange phenomenon to me.

But it wasn’t until I married and had two children that I decided to strike out into my own business world. Once that decision was made, it seemed that business advice came out of the woodwork. Someone came along and recommended that I begin by contacting the Small Business Development Council at the University of Georgia. That was a great idea. With the blessings of my husband, children, and parents, Great Works Creation Co was born!

How did I name the business? I was reading Psalm 111:2 one day and from there the business name was born: “Great are the works of the Lord; His works are pondered by all who delight in them.” Having a strong desire to please God in everything I do, I based the name of my new business on that verse. I prayed that God would fill me with creative thoughts and ideas and make Great Works Creation Co a success. To begin with, and while the children were still at home, I converted my dining room into an office. A few years later, to accommodate my growing business, I moved into commercial business offices.

Today, I work with a highly skilled team. Our client base has grown tremendously. Great Works Creation Company is thankful for the blessing of 24 years of making clients happy! Thank you for trusting us with your dreams.
